Random Things

The weather has been fabulous the last few days here. It's feeling more and more like fall everyday. Y'all know how much I heart fall! I love everything about it...the colors, the cooler weather, the television season premiers, and the holidays that are coming up.

Speaking of season premiers...have y'all been watching the Biggest Loser? Clay and I have been watching for a few years now and I get so attached with some of the contestants right off the bat. This year my favorites are:

Ada and Jessica
for the girls

Aaron and Rick
for the guys

I was so glad that they decided to bring Aaron back. He ones one of mine and Clay's from the beginning. And Ada's story that she shared on the first episode was unbelievable. And yes...I cried on the very first episode.

I've been on etsy WAAAAYYYY to much this week! So far I've only made one purchase this week, but this is only Wednesday. haha!! They have alot of cute longalls for the fall season. I've been looking for Bryson something to wear to the pumpkin patch and that would last through November for Thanksgiving. This is what I've come away with so far...

Isn't it the cutest? And I think this would be okay for him to wear again during the month of November.

I think I've mentioned to y'all before about my friend Mary who monograms on the side. She did Bryson's outfit for his first birthday. Her side business is in a show in Memphis this weekend and they are showcasing some of their Christmas stuff. I can't wait to find out how they did and I've already put my order in for Bryson for some Christmas attire. She also has an etsy shop and she'll have her Christmas stuff displayed sometime next week. But y'all need to check her out!!!

The other day Clay woke me up out of a deep sleep telling me that I needed to get up and come into the kitchen. I was so mad at him! And I was like what in the world are you waking me up for because I have to go to work soon and need my sleep, so this better be worth it. Well y'all it was...

Look at those little feet. Isn't that hilarious?

Little man decided he wanted to get into the cabinet. Clay thought that I would want to get a picture and I was soo glad that he woke me up for this. There is never a dull moment in our house!!!

Friday Night Football

Thank y'all so much for voting on my canvas! I'll be ordering it later this week and I'll blog about which one I picked it when it comes in. I'm really excited to see how it turns out...

I meant to post this on Saturday, but we've been so busy the last few days that I completely forgot. Plus Bryson has decided for the past two weeks that he doesn't want to sleep AT ALL! He is normally in the bed by 7:30 or 8 and gets up about 12 hours later and then takes two naps during the day. He's always been the best sleeper ever since we brought him home, but these last two weeks are taking a toll on this momma. I've tried several different things, but nothing seems to be working. I'm kinda' thinking that his tummy is the problem. We've had issues in that area in the past and that's what I'm leaning towards.

Friday night my parents invited us to go to my old high school's football game. I can't tell y'all the last time I've been there. It was probably back in 2002 when my brother played. That's been a long time ago! Clay wasn't able to go because he had some school work to catch up on, so I thought it would be fun to take Bryson. I was a little nervous that we would get there and then have to leave, but the little man proved me wrong. We stayed until the end of the 3rd quarter. Y'all he had the BEST time! And my parents had so much fun showing him off!

PawPaw and Bryson

Bryson was showing everybody his Bible. I would say that's the one thing now days that we can't leave at home. I know he doesn't understand yet what the Bible means, but I love that he LOVES carrying it around and looking at it and having us read it too him.

When the band came out at halftime, Bryson was mesmerized. He was watching them like a hawk.

Towards the end he decided he was going to direct the band! Y'all I wish you could have been there in person. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! It was on of the funniest and sweetest things I have ever seen him do.

My niece Kelsey and Bryson. Kelsey is head cheerleader of the varsity squad. So proud of her and all she's accomplished. I can't believe she's a senior this year and will be starting college next year! Makes me feel sooo OLD! Haha!!

Hope y'all had a great weekend! The Auburn Tigers pulled out another Big win Saturday! They have got to stop winning towards the end...Clay and I are going to develop stomach ulcers with the way they are playing. Ha! Starting my work week tomorrow...boo! Oh how I wish I could be a stay at home mom...

Because I Need Your Help

Y'all might remember me posting about Bryson's one year photo shoot a few weeks ago. Well I decided to go ahead and purchase all the pictures on a CD that way I could print whatever I wanted and our families could also get plenty of pictures for themselves.

So here's my dilemma...because I can't ever seem to make a decision on my own...

For awhile I've seen several bloggers get pictures printed on a canvas for free! It's a really neat idea and I would love to have one (or maybe two). I think I might upgrade and get a bigger one and pay a little more. So this is my problem. I can't decide on which picture I want to purchase and I've spent way too long trying to pick one out. I would LOVE for y'all to vote - which one do you like best??

Here's the link if you would like to get a free canvas for yourself. I'm going to tally the on results Sunday. I'll let y'all know which picture was the winner.

14 Months

Bryson you are 14 months old today!

You weigh around 25 pounds and are a HEFTY little chunk

You are in size 4 diapers. You can still wear some 12 month clothes but you are mostly in size 18 months

You are such a good eater! Some of your favorites are green beans, macaroni and cheese, pancakes, and any flavor of yogurt. You LOVE baked beans. I think you would eat them for every meal every day if I would let you!

You love to read books and love when I read to you.

You are waving hi and bye-bye, pointing at things you want, you will kiss us on the lips or cheek "giving us love", and you still like playing peek-a-boo.

You have really started enjoying the nursery ever since you moved up a class. I think you like getting to play with the other kids. Just the other Sunday when your daddy came to pick you up, you started pitching a fit because you didn't want to leave :)

You are talking more and more everyday. You can say "beans", "ball", "bible", "pat", "hi and hey", "daddy", "bye-bye" and "juice." And you've said your first sentence "gonna go bye-bye". You are VERY bright and I love hearing you talk. I could listen to it all the time.

You are still crawling everywhere, but taking more steps on your own everyday. You are into EVERYTHING! I can hardly keep up with you. You are a busy little guy and you keep me on my toes. I can only imagine what it will be like when you are walking full time.

Every night I love to just rock you to sleep while you lay your head on my chest. I try to soak up every second because I know one day you will be to big for me to hold and you won't want me to rock you. You put your arms around mine and your daddy's neck all the time. It melts my heart and I could just eat you up!

Tigers versus Tigers

ESPN rolled into Auburn for College Gameday today! Oh, how I wish I could be there.

It's the Auburn Tigers vs the Clemson Tigers! The rumor is Coach Chizik is asking all the fans to wear blue for a "blue out." Oh how I miss those days getting ready for the game. Tailgating all day and watching my Auburn Tigers.

Bryson is sporting his blue!

WAAAAARRRRR EAGLE!!!

Good luck to all the other teams today. It looks like there are going to be alot of good games on today.

The Night Before...

My sister-in-law is getting married tomorrow. I can't believe it...in my mind she is still WAAAYYY to young to be getting married.

Tonight we had the rehearsal dinner at my in-laws house. That's where the wedding is going to be. Everything looked amazing. They had Dreamland BBQ catered. Y'all they have the best ribs and bbq in the South. That is actually what Clay and I had at our rehearsal dinner!

When we walked in the house everyone was talking about Bryson and his PawPaw wearing the same outfit. This was not planned. But I thought it was cute!

Our little family

Y'all know how I told you about how talented my in-laws are...well this was the centerpiece that Clay's aunt did for the dinner. It has Seth and Erica's initials and then their last name. I want one just to put out on my front porch for the fall.

The soon to be Newlyweds!

Bryson and his Aunt Erica. I know B is young, but I really think he is going to miss her. They are like peas and carrots. ha!

The next picture is just a small preview of what is yet to come tomorrow! Y'all don't squeal to loud!!! This is the cutest little man you will ever see...

Falling For You

The past few mornings here in Alabama have been wonderful and a bit of a tease. I am so ready for the fall season to really begin.

BESIDES college football and the new fall TV schedules starting - I am really looking forward to getting out my sweaters and boots. I always have so many more clothes to choose from during this time of year. I'm also trying to plan our family Christmas cards for this year. I can't believe how quickly the Christmas season is approaching.

Oh- and I'm really really excited about Starbuck's Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate! I've always loved there original hot chocolate, but I think this one will take the cake. ha!

Last night I took Bryson out in the driveway and pushed him around in his police car. I literally pushed him around for 30 minutes non-stop. He was having so much fun, I couldn't make myself stop. What you do for your kids!!!

Clay was mowing the grass while we were out and Bryson was so fascinated. He would wave to Clay and say "Hi" and then tell him "bye bye" when he couldn't see him anymore. I know Clay can't wait for Bryson to get a little older so he can ride with him on the mower...and I know he'll be glad when he's big enough to mow the grass himself. ha!

We are also planning a trip to The Great Pumpkin Patch with Bryson this year. There are several in Alabama, but the one we are going to is located where Clay and I grew up. We've known the owners our whole lives and they done such an amazing job keeping it up all these years. I even worked there helping with the pony rides back when I was in college and needed some extra spending money. It was alot of fun even back then and I always looked forward to the day when I would get the chance to carry my own children.

I hope the weather is beautiful wherever you are!

Lingerie Shower

Tonight my sister-in-law Jessica hosted Erica's (my other sister-in-law) lingerie shower. I got to the house a little early to help set up and do some of the cooking. I can't even begin to tell y'all how talented my in-laws are when it comes to having parties and decorating. They are all like Martha Stewart times 10!! I wish I had an ounce of their decorating talent.

Jess did an amazing job with the theme and all the decorations. It was so bright and colorful.

The food was delicious! Of course the jalapeno rolls were my favorite. You can bet I'll be getting the recipe from Aunt BB for those.

The cupcake display turned out really cute. I think Jessica was a little disappointed in how the icing looked on the cupcakes, but we all thought they looked great and they tasted good too.

These were the party favors. They were individual panties rolled up to look like a lollipop. Aren't they just the cutest thing?

Each guest was asked to bring a pair of panties to use for a game. In the game all of the panties were spread out on the floor and you had two minutes to try and memorize as many details about the panties as you could and then write it down on a piece of paper and the girl with the most right would win. Y'all I could only memorize 5 out of 12. Is that not terrible? Ever since I got pregnant with Bryson, my memory has gone out the window.

Me and my sweet sister-in-law's.
I didn't have sister's growing up so when I married Clay I was very excited to get to have two sister-in-law's! They are so special and I love them so much!!!

This was Erica reading the cards that had advice for her wedding night or for life in general. There were a few funny ones in the mix!

We had a great time and Erica received so many nice things. Lots of bra's and panties which a girl can never have too many of. Tomorrow we are having a Bachelorette Brunch for Erica. Jessica is also hosting it. I love brunches! The food is always so yummy!!!

Shoes and a Visit to MiMi's Work

I had a list of of things I needed to get done this off week and it's Thursday afternoon and my list needs alot of work.

One of the BIG things on my list was to find Bryson a pair of shoes to go with his tux for Erica's wedding next Saturday. I can't even begin to explain to y'all how hard it is to find shoes in the color and size I need. And I wanted to make sure that I bought a pair that Bryson would wear more than one time. I went by Sikes in Homewood and they had a really cute pair that I liked, but not in Bryson's size. I called a few other places, but no luck. I figured by best bet would be to look on-line and pray there would be something I would like - you know I could always just by a pair of tan socks...well that might be a little too redneck. Ha!

I found these cute Robeez that I think wouldn't look to bad with his Ivory tux. And I don't think you would be able to see alot of the shoes if the pants are covering them.

I took Bryson to Chick-fil-A for lunch and then it was off to Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries. We ran into two of the ladies that attends Clay's dad's church. Ms. Debbie and Ms. Janet are so sweet. Bryson was being shy. I think he was getting sleepy and ready for a nap. The ladies at my in-law's church are so wonderful to be around. I love getting to be a part of their women's ministries when I can.

I thought I would stop by MiMi's work and let her see the little man before we headed home. She loves getting to show him off.

She let me go back behind the counter...y'all know he was loving that! And of course he was into every cabinet they had.

Tonight Auburn plays the Mississippi State Bulldogs! So it's gamenight tonight at our house. I think I'm going to make Taco Soup for dinner. Sounds yummy!!

WAAAAARRRRR EAGLE!!!

Sunday

Bryson woke up this morning not feeling too well. Daddy was up with him most of the night - runny and stuffy nose. These are the times that I wish I didn't work night shift. I hate not being able to be with him when he doesn't feel good. Clay does a wonderful job - but sometimes little ones need their mommies.

We went ahead and got ready for church. Bryson never ran a fever, so I figured we would be fine. Today my nephew Owen was being dedicated at my in-laws church and since they don't have too many babies in the nursery I thought it would be okay for us to bring Bryson.

He was ALL ABOUT PawPaw today. He didn't want to let go of him - at one time I thought my father-in-law would have to take him up to the pulpit with him.

My sister-in-law and brother-in-law are doing such a wonderful job with Owen. I am so proud of the parents they have become. I know Owen is blessed to have them as his parents.

The daddy's with their boys!

It's Game Day Baby!

College game day is in full swing! The weather was perfect to start off the football season. But I'm not sure if the fall like weather is here to stay.

Look at this chubby little boy! His shift was a bit snug on him - and it's an 18 month. So I ordered a few more things for him to wear. I'm sure we won't be able to wear this one again.

This was Bryson's first game day last year. I loved that outfit. I have been saving some of his clothes to eventually make a quilt out of them. I think that would be something nice to have for when he gets older.

Clay and Bryson watched some of the games this morning and then we all headed to my in-laws for the Auburn game. I hated that I didn't get to watch many of the games - since this is my week to work I was asleep until about an hour before kickoff. I am one of those girls that HEARTS game day! From the minute I wake up on Saturday's, I'm watching Game Day on ESPN and then will watch every SEC game that is on TV! I love college football!!!

We pigged out on pizza and watched the Tigers pull out a win over Arkansas State!

Can you tell Bryson was excited about Auburn's win?

Congratulations to all the other teams that won today! We get to do this all over again on Thursday!
