Little Drummer Boy

Come they told me
Pa rum pum pum pum
Our new born King to see
Pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring
Pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King
Pa rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum

So to honor Him
Pa rum pum pum pum
When we come

Baby Jesus
Pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor boy too
Pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring
Pa rum pum pum pum
That's fit to give a King
Pa rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum

Shall I play for You
Pa rum pum pum pum
On my drum?

Mary nodded
Pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time
Pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him
Pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him
Pa rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum

Then He smiled at me
Pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum
Me and my drum

North Pole Breakfast 2012

We had our 2nd Annual North Pole Breakfast a few weekends ago. I had a lot of ideas for this year, but things just didn't go as planned and so I decided to let it go and just "go with it."

Pancakes wrote a letter again this year to the boys.

He brought Christmas oreo's, peppermint pretzels and cupcakes from the north pole
I couldn't pass these little place card holders up at Target.

Bryson loved his snowman name card holder. He's really into Frosty the Snowman this year.

I think these two really enjoyed their North Pole Breakfast again this year. And though it didn't end up quite like I'd planned, I thought it turned out perfect for these two little rascals!!!

Do You Have a Song?

This past Sunday at our church during the alter call our pastor made the comment that we all have a song. Each of us has a song that speaks to us during difficult times that we will cling too. My song is probably different that yours. It got me thinking about "my song." I immediately thought of Matt Redman's 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord). I remember when I first heard this song on the radio of our local Christian station. It just seemed like the perfect worship song to sing in the good times and the bad. I have played this song hundreds of times when I've been going through a difficult time and even when I haven't had the words to pray. This song has been a blessing to me.

I want this song to become the anthem for my life. In the very first verse he talks about waking up in the morning and singing your song. And though things might get a little bumpy along the way during your day that you'll still be singing your song "when the evening comes." Oh how I want that to be the picture of my life!

When my time has come this will be the song I will sing before the Lord! Do you have a song? If not I encourage you to find one. Hey, even pray about it and ask the Lord to lay on your heart a song for you. Trust me when I tell you, you'll cling to it when there's a bump in the road or when you're just not sure what to pray.

10,00 Reasons (Bless the Lord) lyrics

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore

Christmas Card {2012}

Today I'm participating in Faith's Christmas card link up. This is probably my favorite Christmas card we've done since we've been married! Every time I look at it I still can't believe I'm the mother of two boys. I'm so very blessed!!!

It took me a while to decide on a card, but when I saw this one from Tiny Prints I fell in love with it. Joy has been the theme for our family over the last few months. I think that in this day and time as a Christian sometimes it's hard to find the "Joy" in things around us, but I'm determined not to allow Satan to rob me of that during this wonderful time of the year.

And I couldn't help but add a picture of these precious angels to the back of the card!
Thank you for stopping by to see our family Christmas Card. Be sure to check out more cards on  Faith's blog.

jaxon {8 months}

jaxon you turned 8 months on Sunday
originally written on 12/10/12

oh my goodness! I can't believe we'll be celebrating your FIRST birthday in just four short months. I've got to get on the ball and start planning your party. Eeeekkk!!

I can honestly say that you are the most happy baby I've ever seen. You always have a smile on your face or your giggling with your brother. The only time you will cry is if you are tired.

You are down to two naps a day which has been better. It's a little more easier to plan things now that I know when you will need to lay down. You take your first nap around 10am and your afternoon nap is around 3pm. You are such a good sleeper.

You eat 3 meals a day and still take 4-5 bottles also. You seem to like everything I've given you. I think your favorite is the guacamole and banana mix. You love trying new foods and so far you haven't spit anything out or made an ugly face when it comes to food.

You celebrated your very first Thanksgiving and of course loved all the food that comes with the holiday. We are so thankful you have been given to us!

You are sitting up much better. I still put a boppy pillow around you just to be safe.

We pulled out the walker the other day and I believe I can say you are in LOVE with it! You will go all over the place in it. You love following Bryson around. It's so funny to watch you!

I know I say this over and over and over, but you are completely smitten with your brother, which melts this momma's heart like nothing else!

I fall more and more in love with you with each passing day. You have blessed my life in ways that I cannot even begin to describe. ~ I love you to the moon and back ~ Momma

Christmas Pajama Party Link Up

Today I'm linking up with Meredith from the tichenor family blog for the social media Christmas pajama party. I thought this was such a cute idea and I love being able to look at all the other kids in their pj's! Now that I have two boys I'm obsessed with them matching all the time, especially in pajamas. ;)

After two years I'm still trying to learn how to work my camera, so my apologies for how dark and blurry the picture is. But I LOVE their expressions! My heart just explodes every time I look at them!!!

I bought these pj's from Gymboree. I tried to find a link to them but it looks like they are all sold out.

Come back next Friday and see what the W boys will be wearing.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Today is my daddy's birthday (a.k.a. Grandpa to the kids)! These are the most recent pictures of him with the boys. They were taken back in July when we went out to visit him and my step-mom and grandparents in Texas. We aren't able to see this side of my family as much as we would like to :( But we love going out there to visit. Always so many fun things to do. We love you dad and hope you have a

VERY
HAPPY
BIRTHDAY!!!

Can't wait to see you next week!

Mid-week Randoms

Oh this week has been crazy and challenging for me! And with every day that passes, it's getting closer to Christmas and I haven't been able to make a dent in my to do list. Probably why my blog has been put on the back burner these days. I have to go back to the weekend because that's were the craziness started.

On Saturday morning I went up to Tennessee with my step-MIL and  SIL to visit my other SIL. We helped her decorate her Christmas tree and visited a few shops around town and had lunch together. I had a great time with them. There is this store, Ty Alexander's that is just amazing! I could have walked out of there with everything that had. Especially all the Christmas decorations. I even got a few ideas for some Christmas trees in the future that I think will be cute for the kids.

Later that afternoon I got a call from Clay saying that Bryson was not feeling well and running a temp of 102.9 and vomiting. Let me tell y'all this is the first time B has ever thrown up and been sick like this and it broke my heart that I wasn't there to be with him. We rushed home and when I got there he seemed to be feeling a little better. I did call the doctor and they mentioned meningitis because he was complaining of his back and neck hurting, but since he could do the chin to chest test I felt better about it not being that.

That night we started our Christmas book advent. I'm really excited about this new tradition we are starting with the boys. And I can't explain to y'all my excitement about having two boys and having them in matching pajamas. Oh the little things I get excited about!

Bryson stayed in the bed pretty much all Sunday. I had planned on doing our North Pole breakfast that day, but postponed til' this Saturday since he got sick again that afternoon. Later that night he started feeling better. I really think he just had a fever virus. He never coughed or complained of a sore throat. But I kept him out of school all this week just because I didn't want to run the risk of it coming back or getting other kids sick.

I have been blessed with healthy children and I am so grateful. And even though in my profession I work with very sick children all the time, I lost all sense of my nursing knowledge and my heart just broke for him. It hurts to see your children hurting.

I got my sweatshirt from HollyGo Design in and have started breaking it in real fast. I'm going to have to get a few more of these in some different colors.

I am a BIG fan of A Charlie Brown Christmas and I'm glad B loves is as much as I do. He's also a big fan of Frosty the Snowman. I love that he loves the classics like his momma! :)

I spent a good bit of my off time this past week getting Jaxon's meals together. I'm just going to say that this can be an all day thing. I didn't do this with Bryson so I'm sure there's a lot that I don't know, but so far Jaxon has eaten everything that I've made. If he'd hurry up and get a few teeth in we could venture out. Ha!

Y'all don't laugh at my son's crazy hair. Today was a day where we were just lazy and it called for a pajama day. We have a lot of those these days! He's into this thing now where he loves to put stickers on the windows. I normally have him put them on the kitchen windows in the back so the whole neighborhood doesn't have to look at my toddler decorated house, but he wanted to put them by the Christmas tree and this year I just don't care what other people think about my house. This is a time of year that I want my boys to have fun. I don't want to be that uptight mom who has to have everything so perfect. I want them to understand the true meaning of Christmas and about learning to give to others.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into Spring
These are a few of my favorite things!

With Christmas only 4 weeks away (eeek, I can't believe it's that close), and I've got so much shopping left to do, I thought I would share of few of my favorite things. And maybe Santa my leave a few of these under our tree. ;)

I don't know if I could ever pull this off, but I'm in love with this Aztec cardigan from Shopriffraff.com.

I don't know if Santa could ever afford to get me these! Ha!!! And if I could I would own every color in these Frye boots.

I saw these pajamas posted by Megan the other day on instagram and I think they are perfect for the holidays and even through the winter.

Another favorite of mine is the Piko top. This is another item I would own in every color. They are so comfortable and versatile. I found this one at Kiki La'Rue. Riff Raff also sells these tops, but you have to order them right when they are in stock because they sell out fast.

Of course who doesn't love these Bubble Necklaces. They had a deal on veryjane.com for $7.99 each. This is one more thing I could have every color of.

I'm loving the Infinity Scarf from Kikilarue. They have a lot of colors to choose from and very reasonably priced. I think scarfs will always be instyle, so you can never go wrong with having too many. ;)

So is there anything on your wish list you are hoping to get this Christmas?

Thanksgiving 2012

Hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had to work this past week and wanted to take a little break from blogging so I could spend what time I did have with my family!

We had a nice Thanksgiving! Clay took the boys to his Grandmother's for lunch while I slept. And y'all know what that means, not a lot of pictures since Clay was in charge of the camera. Ha! I was able to sneak in a family picture later that night.

My littlest turkey on his first Thanksgiving! Clay said Jaxon did so good. He got his first taste of dressing and sweet potato casserole. I hated that I wasn't there and missed his first Thanksgiving, but I am so grateful that he has a wonderful daddy and lots of family that can love on him when I'm not there.

Bryson was so excited that Bryant was going to be at Pop and Gigi's house. They love getting to play with one another. Clay told me he snuck in on them at one point during the day and they were having a big boy conversation over Veggietales dvd's. Clay said they were so sweet talking to each other. I can't believe how big they get each year.

My oldest turkey sporting his SheSheMade turkey shirt. I was thrilled when I put this on him the other day and he could still wear it. I'm hoping I'll get another two years out of it when Jaxon can wear it.

When I got up I met Clay and the boys over at his dad's house. We had dessert over at their house and it was SO good. Nana had made a Mississippi mud cake and a toffee truffle cake. I could have eaten my weight in that toffee truffle. YUM-O!

Me and my little turkeys!

Friday I left from work that morning and went by Target and did a little Christmas shopping. That is one good thing about working night shift. All the crazy Black Friday shoppers are gone by the time I get off work. Santa was able to score a few gifts for the boys. And speaking of Christmas shopping I have GOT to get on the ball and finish up my list.

The tigers played Alabama on Saturday in the Iron Bowl which is always the biggest game of the year in our state (well expect for this year since Auburn wasn't that good), but I dressed the boys up in their AU orange and blue for the game anyway.
Clay took the boys to church yesterday. Bryson loves going to church. He'll wake up and ask us every morning if he's going to get to go to church or school. I love that he enjoys it so much! He doesn't look to thrilled in this picture, that's because he was upset that his Veggietales CD wasn't playing in the car when he got in. Can we say spoiled!!!

I worked a little bit on the tree last night before I went into work. It's been up for over a week with nothing on it, but I just haven't found the time to start decorating. I feel so far behind since a lot of people on twitter and instagram already have their decorations up.

I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!

Oh and don't forget to check out Ebates for extra cash back on purchases for Cyber Monday.
