I Heart Packages!!!!!

I absolutely love getting packages in the mail! I don't know why I love it so much - but i just get so excited!! After my baby shower I did alot of online shopping for some of the things we didn't get and I can't tell ya'll how much fun it was getting boxes and packages on my front porch...ha!!! Even though I new what it was...I guess it's just the anticipation.

So can ya'll imagine how excited I was to see this little package on my front porch this morning? It's from Kelly's Kids (which I LOVE!!!) and inside was Bryson's Easter outfit...yes, I've already planned what he's wearing for Easter - LOL!!!

Would ya'll like to see what's inside?

Oh, I cannot wait to put this on him!!!

And ya'll know he'll be dressed in little knee high socks with white dress shoes...can you say adorable!!! I can't wait til Easter Sunday!

Oh, by the way...this little man is sitting up all by himself! Can ya'll believe it? He's growing up SO fast.

Well the little man is crying...time for lunch mommy!!!

Clingy

For some reason this little guy has been extremely clingy today. I don't think he is coming down with anything...just wants his momma. I have no problems with this since he normally will play and keep to himself! Even last night we wouldn't get in his crib without me rocking him to sleep first - that hasn't happened in a long time.

Needless to say not too much got done around the house...so I don't have alot to blog about. I think I might need to invest in one of those carrier things...ha!

bryson gregory {7 months}

Bryson...you are seven months old today!

What are you up to these days?

  • You weigh close to 19lbs
  • You are in size 3 diapers
  • You wear size 6-9 month clothes. You are growing out of your footy pajama's more than anything else...You are just getting so long
  • You have been in your own room in your crib for about the last month. You are doing great...you usually sleep for about 12 hours...every now and then you'll wake up for about 30-45 minutes, but you are pretty easy to get back to sleep.
  • You LOVE your passy...Don't know what we would do without it!
  • You can say "dada" pretty good...not sure if you know what it means yet? Every time you talk you say "dada" so I don't think you've put it together quite yet!
  • You don't nap near as much as you use too. Now days your morning naps last about 30 minutes to an hour...but in the afternoon it's more like 1-2 hours.
  • You are a GREAT eater!! You eat 2 solid meals a day and take 2 bottles. You LOVE oatmeal with bananas - we have that every morning for breakfast. You have eaten carrots, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, applesauce, peaches, and sweet peas. Your favorite is the carrots.
  • You carry your blankie everywhere we go. It's one of those things that if we left it we'd be in big trouble. You sleep with it every night and during your naps.
  • You are getting better sitting up on your own - and when you're on your tummy you are trying so hard to crawl around. I wonder if you'll be crawling by the time I write your 8 month post?
  • You smile ALL the time - and we love to hear you laugh. It's the cutest thing in the whole world. You're such a HAPPY baby.
  • You are obsessed with anything that lights up...your eyes get so big and you'll kick your legs and scream at the top of your lungs.

  • You are CONSTANTLY babbling or making noises. You are not the quiet child...much like your mommy. You have a bubbly little personality and can always make us laugh - just like your daddy does.
  • We love to hear you wake up in the morning over the monitor. You always wake up in such a good mood. You start out kicking your legs and talking to yourself and then you'll get really loud and say "Hey There!" and "Dadadadadada." I doubt your saying "Hey There" - but it sure sounds like it to us. And when we come in your room of course you are very excited to see us.
  • I can't tell you enough how much I love you - and how much JOY you have been to my life!

Weekend Wrap-Up

IT SNOWED IN ALABAMA ON FRIDAY!!!

Please excuse the pink socks...ha! I couldn't believe it actually snowed in Alabama on Friday. I think its been almost a year since we've had this much snow. And the rumor is it's going to snow again tonight. I'm so excited!!! I wish very much that Bryson was old enough to play in it. Surely it will snow again at some point in his lifetime. As you can see we aren't really dressed for the snow. Since it's rare here, I've never thought to much about buying Bryson one of those cute puffer coats! They are SO cute, but I didn't think we would get our money out of it.

It was so nice to see the snow! I'm hoping if it snow's again tonight I will try and make snow ice cream before I leave for work tomorrow afternoon. That would be a great pick me up to start my week off.

If you read my friend Mary's blog then you might have seen where we went to the Black Eyed Peas concert on Saturday night. OMGoodness...what a great concert. I don't think I've sang that loud in a long time. I might be getting a little to old of these types of concerts. My legs and arms were a little sore this morning...ha!!!

Before the concert we ate at Newk's Cafe. Yummy is all I have to say about that. Okay, so I'm not even going to waste my time typing and telling ya'll who opened up for them. All I have to say is horrible, terrible, and weird. And what's was even crazier were the mothers that brought their children (underage might I add) to this concert. REALLY???

They put on an amazing concert. I had forgotten some of their old stuff like...Where Is The Love...Fergalicious...Glamorous...Big Girls Don't Cry...and Let's Get It Started! Fergie and Will.i.am were by far my favorite. They ended the show with Boom Boom Pow and Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night...and it was a great night. Thanks Mary!! Had a blast!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to my little sweetheart. This is his first Valentine's and I didn't go too overboard. Clay picked him out this cute little dog in the picture and I also got him a Veggie Tales DVD. Simple and sweet this year.

Clay and I celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday. He surprised me with dinner at the Melting Pot. So Bryson got to stay with Nana and PawPaw for a little while. I think they really enjoyed seeing him. The dinner was delicious. The cheese fondue, ceasar salad, and chocolate fondue were amazing. We didn't care too much for the main coarse. But the chocolate, heaven on earth. Those marshmallows that were coated in oreo cookie and graham crackers were my fav. I think will definitely go back just for the chocolate!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!

Haiti

A group of men from our Church left out this past Sunday morning for Haiti. The group consists of 19 men some from different states and different backgrounds, but all had a desire to help the people of Haiti during this difficult time.

Here are a few of the men from my home church

They have already faced several trials since leaving out. Reading the posts from Kandy (Jeremy's wife who is keeping us updated) the men seem to be in good spirits and are ready to help out in anyway they can.

You can follow their blog @ gfbc-haiti-2010. Kandy has posted alot already on their trip. Please be in prayer for all of the men on this trip. Pray that the Lord will keep them safe and that they will find strength during this time away from home. They are starting a medical clinic this morning so please be in prayer for that as well.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Isaiah 6:7-9

Oh When The Saints Go Marchin In

For the last two years our friends John and Ivy have been gracious enough to host a Super Bowl Party at their house. This year it was the same ole crew except we had one little addition. All the guys were best friends from high school and have kept in touch since graduation.

John grilled hamburgers and we had several dips, chips, and some good desserts. Katie made her mother-in-laws famous Anytime Dip. I've got to make sure to get that recipe the next time we get together.

And since I had to work and we were in charge of an appetizer and dessert, of course I went to the simple and quick brownie mix. I figured it couldn't be to hard to mess up brownies from a box! And for the appetizer, I used the crock-pot and fixed an easy cream cheese and rotel dip. I'll be sure to post the recipe later. It's a great go to dip if your in a hurry and need to whip up something fast and simple.

Here was our little addition this year. He was not to happy when we first got there. I think he might be going through the whole stranger anxiety??? And for some strange reason he only wanted me to hold him. I was a little surprised by this. He is usually fine when Clay takes him, but not so much tonight. So I have to admit that it was nice to know my little boy still loves his mommy!

John and Ivy...the wonderful hosts and two of the funniest people I know!

Shawn and Katie...this is a couple I honestly LOVE being around. They are genuinely sweet people who love the Lord and are just infectious to be around.

It wasn't too long before this little man was in his pj's and ready to hit the sack.

The outcome of the game was exciting for me. As for the rest of the group they were a little down. I was really excited that the Saints were able to pull out a win. I think this is something that there city really needed. They are the Cinderella team of the season and I'm happy for there players, fans, and hometown. WAY TO GO SAINTS!!!

National Signing Day

Can you guess what my boys are up too today???

It's National Signing Day for High School football players and my two boys have been vegging out in front of the TV all day.

Down here in the South we LOVE our college football. Especially in the state of Alabama! Auburn and Alabama football is what we live for during the Fall Season. All the women will dress up in their orange and blue or crimson and houndstooth. And when I say dress up I literally mean we wear dresses to the games and sometimes you might find a few of us in high heels too! We tailgate all day and all night. When we can't make it to the games, around our house you're likely to find lots of orange and blue, an Auburn flag flying out on the front deck and two TV's set up in the living room hanging out with some of our closest friends. We will grill out on the back deck and spend lots of time watching some great games throughout the season. Can't you tell we love Saturdays?

Auburn is doing really well this year for their upcoming recruiting classes. I think this is the first time in several years that we have had a top five recruiting class. Clay has always enjoyed watching National Signing day each year. Last year he had class, so you know it got recorded on the DVR!! But this year it was special. This year Clay was able to somewhat have Bryson hang out with him and watch it together...Bryson would every now and then glance over at the TV from his exersaucer. I'm sure when he gets a little older he will appreciate AU football as much as his daddy does.

A BIG congrats to all the SEC schools. I think they have outdone themselves again this year. Out of the top 15 there were 6 SEC schools ranked... and 3 are in the top 5. Looks like this could be another big year for the SEC!!!
