SUPER Target

can you guess where we went last thursday???

Bryson and i went and experienced the new SUPER Target in Hoover, AL. according to the local news and some of my co-workers, it's the largest SUPER Target in the nation and i can believe it. i was like a kid in a candy store when i walked thru those automatic doors :) i can't even begin to describe all the stuff they had. of coarse i went straight to the baby section first.

i'm going to pause a minute and get on my soapbox about how ridiculous it is that Target and Wal-mart only have 1 rack for infant boys clothes in Bryson's age range and half of those clothes are sleepers. i was so ticked off when i went over to the baby section and they had the cutest little Christmas outfits and dresses for girls and NOT ONE SINGLE THING FOR BOYS!!! come on Target and Wal-Mart! help a momma out!!! looks like Old Navy and The Children's Place will be getting most of my business.

enough of my ramblings. but this is something i gripe to my husband and mother about daily.

i was however able to find a cute zip up jacket with matching pants. something he can wear this coming winter.

but one of the main reasons for me checking out this Target was to purchase a Bumbo.

of course i bought it in blue!!! i put Bryson in it the mintue we got home and it was hilarious. he still doesn't have complete control over his head. so the entire time i was having to use my hand to keep his head from falling backwards.

i've seen alot of mixed reviews on this, but i went ahead and spent the money. i hope it turns out to be a smart purchase. i'm hoping that he enjoys it so i can purchase the tray that attaches.

after looking around at the toys (getting ready to make a few purchases for Christmas) i went and looked at the women's section. i was able to find a cute ruffle top. i hear ruffle is in this year.

overall this SUPER Target was amazing to say the least. eventhough it's about 45 mintues away i still think i will be frequenting this one the most.

Where We've Been

okay so i know it's been like three weeks since i last posted. and i haven't done any blog reading either. we've had some catastrophes with our computer. the power connector got a short 2 weeks ago and clay almost burnt the house down when he noticed blue sparks coming from the connector (LOL)!!! his uncle was kind enough to let us borrow his since we've priced them and they are like over $100 :( is that not the most ridiculous thing you've heard of. i was shocked when clay called best buy and they quoted him $104. so i've got to do some shopping around on the internet this weekend to see if i can find a connector that is cheaper.

i've got lost of things to post about in the days to come. i've got alot to catch ya'll up on. i hope that everybody is doing well. it's very strange being out of the blog world for two weeks.

i did post Bryson's 3 month birthday down below. i can't believe he's three months already. time goes by so fast.

bryson gregory {3 months}

Bryson is THREE months old today!!

Bryson - what are you up to these days?

  • You are getting into your own routine now - you nap between 30 minutes to 3 hours three times a day.
  • You go to bed every night from 7:30 to 8:30. You have started sleeping through the night for the last 2 weeks - and you only wake up if you've lost your passy.
  • You love your glider. That's where you spend most of your nap time.
  • You have started laughing and it's the cutest thing we have ever heard. I could listen to you laugh ALL day.
  • After you eat in the mornings I love to snuggle with you in the bed. I hope when you get older you will still want to snuggle with mommy.
  • You HATE tummy time. You've only rolled over once. You've tried to roll over many times but you get so mad and end up tiring yourself out.
  • You are SO happy in the mornings - you just lay in the bed smiling.
  • You are in size 2 diapers.
  • You weigh almost 14 pounds and are almost 24 inches long. You are wearing 3 months size clothes.
  • The passy thing is something new you've gotta have. You only want it if your sleepy.
  • You have found your hands. It's hilarious to watch you try and put your whole hand in your mouth.
  • You LOVE your bath
  • You enjoy riding in the car. You get excited when I put you in your carseat and say "Let's go bye bye!!!" And it's almost always automatic that you'll be asleep within 10 minutes.
  • You are starting to loose some of your hair. I'm hoping your not going bald.
  • You are the love of my life (besides your daddy) - and you are growing up way TOO fast.

you are becoming such a little man:)

Show Us Your Life - Baby Gear

i can't even being to tell ya'll how excited i am about this Show Us You Life Week that Kelly is hosting.

i'm a first time mom and my little boy is only 10 1/2 weeks old so most of my baby gear suggestions is geared towards newborns. but i did list a few things that i can't wait for Bryson to start using!!!

this is my #1 suggestion for ANY new mom. i don' think i could get anything done around the house if it wasn't for this Swing 'n Glider from Fisher Price. my aunt gave me this at my shower and i absolutely LOVE it. by the way i saw that diapers.com is having a closeout on this exact swing.

i have to admit that Bryson is not wild about the swinging feature, but he loves to glide. i think if i let him he could glide all day long. honestly, we put him in it 3 or 4 times a day and instantly he's drifting off to sleep :)

this is definitely a must have for any new mom!!!

the Boppy is also a must have. my husband and father-in-law have even used it!!! i even let Bryson take naps on it. it's a perfect fit for him.

this is also something that i could not live without. this Pack 'n Play by Graco has a built in bassinet and removable changing table. once Bryson was about 8 weeks old he started sleeping in this at night. it fits perfectly in our bedroom and it's very portable. we wheel it in and out every morning from our bedroom to the living room.

i'm not sure how long i plan on keeping him in it. does anyone have any suggestions? i think i might be one of those mothers who will have issues putting Bryson in his own room. but it's so easy at 2 in the morning when he's screaming to be fed and all i have to do is just reach over and pick him up. HA!!

i bought this playmat not to long ago and Bryson is getting to where he really enjoys laying on it and looking up at the toys and lights. he's even beginning to swat at some of the toys and he could stare at himself all day in that mirror.

i think this is something that might be a little too advanced for him right now. sometimes i think i'm trying to make him older than what he really is.

now these are some things i can't wait for Bryson to start using. i already have the Sassy Seat Doorway Jumper and a little birdy told me that Bryson's grandma is getting him the Baby Einstein Stationary for Christmas. and i can't wait for him to start watching the DVD's (i'm actually looking forward to watching these too)!!! i hope these will be things that Bryson can enjoy.

well since i am a new mom i would love to hear from all you veteran moms about your suggestions for baby gear. there is just SO much to choose from in the baby gear department and i don't want to spend money and have it go to waste on something that i just thought was too cute!
