The Night Before...

My sister-in-law is getting married tomorrow. I can't believe it...in my mind she is still WAAAYYY to young to be getting married.

Tonight we had the rehearsal dinner at my in-laws house. That's where the wedding is going to be. Everything looked amazing. They had Dreamland BBQ catered. Y'all they have the best ribs and bbq in the South. That is actually what Clay and I had at our rehearsal dinner!

When we walked in the house everyone was talking about Bryson and his PawPaw wearing the same outfit. This was not planned. But I thought it was cute!

Our little family

Y'all know how I told you about how talented my in-laws are...well this was the centerpiece that Clay's aunt did for the dinner. It has Seth and Erica's initials and then their last name. I want one just to put out on my front porch for the fall.

The soon to be Newlyweds!

Bryson and his Aunt Erica. I know B is young, but I really think he is going to miss her. They are like peas and carrots. ha!

The next picture is just a small preview of what is yet to come tomorrow! Y'all don't squeal to loud!!! This is the cutest little man you will ever see...

Falling For You

The past few mornings here in Alabama have been wonderful and a bit of a tease. I am so ready for the fall season to really begin.

BESIDES college football and the new fall TV schedules starting - I am really looking forward to getting out my sweaters and boots. I always have so many more clothes to choose from during this time of year. I'm also trying to plan our family Christmas cards for this year. I can't believe how quickly the Christmas season is approaching.

Oh- and I'm really really excited about Starbuck's Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate! I've always loved there original hot chocolate, but I think this one will take the cake. ha!

Last night I took Bryson out in the driveway and pushed him around in his police car. I literally pushed him around for 30 minutes non-stop. He was having so much fun, I couldn't make myself stop. What you do for your kids!!!

Clay was mowing the grass while we were out and Bryson was so fascinated. He would wave to Clay and say "Hi" and then tell him "bye bye" when he couldn't see him anymore. I know Clay can't wait for Bryson to get a little older so he can ride with him on the mower...and I know he'll be glad when he's big enough to mow the grass himself. ha!

We are also planning a trip to The Great Pumpkin Patch with Bryson this year. There are several in Alabama, but the one we are going to is located where Clay and I grew up. We've known the owners our whole lives and they done such an amazing job keeping it up all these years. I even worked there helping with the pony rides back when I was in college and needed some extra spending money. It was alot of fun even back then and I always looked forward to the day when I would get the chance to carry my own children.

I hope the weather is beautiful wherever you are!

Lingerie Shower

Tonight my sister-in-law Jessica hosted Erica's (my other sister-in-law) lingerie shower. I got to the house a little early to help set up and do some of the cooking. I can't even begin to tell y'all how talented my in-laws are when it comes to having parties and decorating. They are all like Martha Stewart times 10!! I wish I had an ounce of their decorating talent.

Jess did an amazing job with the theme and all the decorations. It was so bright and colorful.

The food was delicious! Of course the jalapeno rolls were my favorite. You can bet I'll be getting the recipe from Aunt BB for those.

The cupcake display turned out really cute. I think Jessica was a little disappointed in how the icing looked on the cupcakes, but we all thought they looked great and they tasted good too.

These were the party favors. They were individual panties rolled up to look like a lollipop. Aren't they just the cutest thing?

Each guest was asked to bring a pair of panties to use for a game. In the game all of the panties were spread out on the floor and you had two minutes to try and memorize as many details about the panties as you could and then write it down on a piece of paper and the girl with the most right would win. Y'all I could only memorize 5 out of 12. Is that not terrible? Ever since I got pregnant with Bryson, my memory has gone out the window.

Me and my sweet sister-in-law's.
I didn't have sister's growing up so when I married Clay I was very excited to get to have two sister-in-law's! They are so special and I love them so much!!!

This was Erica reading the cards that had advice for her wedding night or for life in general. There were a few funny ones in the mix!

We had a great time and Erica received so many nice things. Lots of bra's and panties which a girl can never have too many of. Tomorrow we are having a Bachelorette Brunch for Erica. Jessica is also hosting it. I love brunches! The food is always so yummy!!!

Shoes and a Visit to MiMi's Work

I had a list of of things I needed to get done this off week and it's Thursday afternoon and my list needs alot of work.

One of the BIG things on my list was to find Bryson a pair of shoes to go with his tux for Erica's wedding next Saturday. I can't even begin to explain to y'all how hard it is to find shoes in the color and size I need. And I wanted to make sure that I bought a pair that Bryson would wear more than one time. I went by Sikes in Homewood and they had a really cute pair that I liked, but not in Bryson's size. I called a few other places, but no luck. I figured by best bet would be to look on-line and pray there would be something I would like - you know I could always just by a pair of tan socks...well that might be a little too redneck. Ha!

I found these cute Robeez that I think wouldn't look to bad with his Ivory tux. And I don't think you would be able to see alot of the shoes if the pants are covering them.

I took Bryson to Chick-fil-A for lunch and then it was off to Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries. We ran into two of the ladies that attends Clay's dad's church. Ms. Debbie and Ms. Janet are so sweet. Bryson was being shy. I think he was getting sleepy and ready for a nap. The ladies at my in-law's church are so wonderful to be around. I love getting to be a part of their women's ministries when I can.

I thought I would stop by MiMi's work and let her see the little man before we headed home. She loves getting to show him off.

She let me go back behind the counter...y'all know he was loving that! And of course he was into every cabinet they had.

Tonight Auburn plays the Mississippi State Bulldogs! So it's gamenight tonight at our house. I think I'm going to make Taco Soup for dinner. Sounds yummy!!

WAAAAARRRRR EAGLE!!!

Sunday

Bryson woke up this morning not feeling too well. Daddy was up with him most of the night - runny and stuffy nose. These are the times that I wish I didn't work night shift. I hate not being able to be with him when he doesn't feel good. Clay does a wonderful job - but sometimes little ones need their mommies.

We went ahead and got ready for church. Bryson never ran a fever, so I figured we would be fine. Today my nephew Owen was being dedicated at my in-laws church and since they don't have too many babies in the nursery I thought it would be okay for us to bring Bryson.

He was ALL ABOUT PawPaw today. He didn't want to let go of him - at one time I thought my father-in-law would have to take him up to the pulpit with him.

My sister-in-law and brother-in-law are doing such a wonderful job with Owen. I am so proud of the parents they have become. I know Owen is blessed to have them as his parents.

The daddy's with their boys!

It's Game Day Baby!

College game day is in full swing! The weather was perfect to start off the football season. But I'm not sure if the fall like weather is here to stay.

Look at this chubby little boy! His shift was a bit snug on him - and it's an 18 month. So I ordered a few more things for him to wear. I'm sure we won't be able to wear this one again.

This was Bryson's first game day last year. I loved that outfit. I have been saving some of his clothes to eventually make a quilt out of them. I think that would be something nice to have for when he gets older.

Clay and Bryson watched some of the games this morning and then we all headed to my in-laws for the Auburn game. I hated that I didn't get to watch many of the games - since this is my week to work I was asleep until about an hour before kickoff. I am one of those girls that HEARTS game day! From the minute I wake up on Saturday's, I'm watching Game Day on ESPN and then will watch every SEC game that is on TV! I love college football!!!

We pigged out on pizza and watched the Tigers pull out a win over Arkansas State!

Can you tell Bryson was excited about Auburn's win?

Congratulations to all the other teams that won today! We get to do this all over again on Thursday!

20 Hours 10 Minutes 41 Seconds

Alright Auburn Fans.......Let me hear you say WAAAAARRRR EAGLE!!!

We are beyond excited for Saturday's game! Football season is here and we've been counting down the days. We went last weekend and picked Bryson out some new AU gear for the season. He's all ready to go and to cheer the Tigers on for a VICTORY!!!!

We are planning one or two trips down to Auburn this year! I haven't been since I left in 2004. I miss it so much and I know alot has changed. And we can't wait to let Bryson experience his first Auburn game!!!

If you have never been to an Auburn game, you have got to watch this video of the eagle flying before the game. It's the best one I could find. But it's so much better in person!!!

Fun Field Trip

Clay and I have been so blessed to have his grandmother and my mom to be able to keep Bryson on the weeks that I work. There is no way that we could afford daycare right now with Clay going to school full time and to be honest it's really expensive. So it's really wonderful to have family that are close by and able to take care of him.

Today Clay's grandmother was feeling a little under the weather so we asked Clay's sister if she would mind us bringing Bryson to the daycare where she works. We've only done this on two other occasions (they are so nice to let Bryson come for just a few hours until Clay gets out of school). And since Clay's little sister is getting married and going to be moving a few hours away we thought this would be a good time for them to spend time together before she moves. This also gives Bryson some time to interact with other kids his age.

I can't believe how big he is getting. I heard he did really well. He ate when all the other kids ate, but he wasn't able to take a nap when they did. I'm sure his Aunt Erica spoiled him rotten the entire time he was there.

Erica said he played so well with all the other kids. I was really happy to hear that!

She told me there was this one girl, Bre that he really enjoyed playing with. Those roles on her arms are so stink'n cute!!

I thought this picture was so sweet. Bre is such a beautiful little girl. I could just eat those two little babies up!

Well he eventually passed out after lunch. Bless his heart.

I was such a proud momma to hear my little boy was so good today and got along so well with all the other kids. Clay and I have been talking about starting him in Mother's Day Out in January. I really think it's important for him to be around and interact with other children. I'm really excited about him going and I know he'll love it too.
